Every program aboard the Sonesta Moon Goddess Nile Cruise includes full-board accommodation, fully private guided tours, and a certified Egyptologist guide throughout the journey. Optional experiences, including the famous Abu Simbel temples, can also be arranged during your luxury Nile cruise with Nile Empire.
Upon your arrival in Aswan, you will be met by our representative for a private transfer to the Sonesta Moon Goddess Nile Cruise. Since the vessel departs Aswan very early the following morning, today is dedicated to exploring the city's icons. You will visit the High Dam and the magnificent Philae Temple, situated on Agilkia Island. Enjoy your first lunch and dinner onboard while soaking in the serene views of the Nile. We recommend arriving in Aswan by noon to comfortably complete your private guided tours.
Start your day with a horse-drawn carriage ride to visit the Edfu Temple, the most well-preserved cult temple in Egypt dedicated to Horus. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the sundeck as the ship passes through the Esna Lock. Upon reaching Luxor, you can enjoy an optional evening at the Karnak Sound & Light show.
After breakfast and disembarkation, explore the wonders of the West Bank. Visit the legendary Valley of the Kings, the Hatshepsut Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon. Complete your tour on the East Bank with the massive Karnak Temple and the elegant Luxor Temple before your final departure.
Welcome to Luxor. After embarking on the Sonesta Moon Goddess Nile Cruise, begin your journey with the East Bank’s treasures. Visit Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex ever built, followed by a visit to Luxor Temple, which looks especially magical at sunset. Dinner is served onboard.
Cross to the West Bank to witness the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs were laid to rest. Visit the mortuary Hatshepsut Temple and the towering Colossi of Memnon. The ship begins sailing toward Edfu in the afternoon, allowing you to enjoy the changing river landscapes from your panoramic cabin window.
Visit the Edfu Temple in the morning via a traditional carriage ride. Return to the ship for lunch and continue sailing toward the south. By late afternoon, arrive at Kom Ombo Temple, standing right on the riverbank. Explore its fascinating crocodile mummies before continuing the cruise toward Aswan.
Today is dedicated to the beauty of Aswan. Visit the High Dam and the romantic Philae Temple. The afternoon is free for relaxation, or you may choose an optional excursion to Abu Simbel. Enjoy your final farewell dinner onboard the Sonesta Moon Goddess Nile Cruise.
Enjoy your final breakfast on the Nile before disembarking in Aswan. Depending on your flight or train schedule, you may choose to visit the Nubian Village to experience the local culture and colorful architecture before your final transfer.
