Cancellation Policy & Refunds
1. Booking Amendments
- All amendment or cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email and are subject to availability.
- Subject to the cancellation charges set out below, if full payment has been received and/or a travel voucher has been issued, banking or transfer fees will be deducted from any refundable amount, which is then returned as set out in section 6.
- Flight ticket modifications are subject to each airline’s cancellation and rebooking rules and may be non-refundable.
2. Deposits & Payment
Deposit amounts, payment methods and balance terms are set out in full in our Terms & Conditions, which are the authoritative source for those rules. In summary: a deposit is required to secure every booking, the amount depends on the type of trip and the travel dates, and your booking is secured only once we receive it. Payment is made by secure payment link or bank transfer, as advised by our team. The remaining balance and its payment schedule are stated in your booking confirmation. Until the deposit is received, prices and availability are subject to change.
3. Standalone Day Tours & Excursions
Day tours, excursions, airport transfers and similar standalone services have their own, more flexible rule:
- Cancel at least 24 hours before the start time: full refund.
- Cancel less than 24 hours before the start time: the deposit is retained to cover guide and transport arrangements already committed.
- If we cancel for weather or safety reasons, you are always refunded in full or rescheduled at no cost.
A full refund under this section is returned in full: no banking, transfer or transaction fees are deducted, and it is not converted to travel credit. This exception applies only to day tours, excursions, airport transfers and similar standalone services. Multi-day packages and Nile cruises follow sections 4 and 5 below.
4. Cancellation Charges for Packages & Nile Cruises (Non-Peak Season)
These charges apply to multi-day packages and Nile cruises cancelled outside peak travel periods:
- 61+ days before arrival: 15% of the total tour price
- 60-30 days before arrival: 25%
- 29-15 days before arrival: 50%
- 14-7 days before arrival: 75%
- 6 days or less before arrival: 100% (non-refundable)
Note: Airline tickets follow carrier policies and may be non-refundable.
5. Peak Period Cancellation Charges
For multi-day packages and Nile cruises travelling over Christmas, New Year, Easter or an equivalent exceptional period, the following cancellation fees apply:
- 61+ days before arrival: 25% of the total tour price
- 60-31 days before arrival: 50%
- 30-15 days before arrival: 75%
- 14 days or less before arrival: 100% (non-refundable)
6. Refund Conditions
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method, minus any applicable transaction fees, except where section 3 provides a full refund.
- No refunds are provided for no-shows. For same-day cancellations, packages and Nile cruises are non-refundable, while day tours, excursions, airport transfers and similar standalone services follow section 3.
- Refunds are typically processed within 14 business days, depending on your bank or provider.
- In some cases, we may offer a credit note valid for 12 months toward a future booking.
7. Additional Notes
- Third-party service providers (airlines, hotels, etc.) may enforce their own cancellation or rebooking charges.
- Tipping is optional and not included in your package price, though it is customary and appreciated in Egypt.
- Changes to confirmed domestic flights may incur fare differences or change fees.
